Mele Kalikimaka from Hawaii

December was a very busy month for us. In between doing all the Christmas and holiday stuff we traveled to Hawaii for a week with my cousin Brandy and her husband Jeremy. We had a great time and kept very busy. We did pretty much everything there was to do there including kayaking, parasailing, hiking, snorkeling, sunbathing, watching the huge waves at the north shore, going to a luau, and our top favorite surfing. It was easy to forget about Christmas in the beautiful 82 degree weather, but every once in a while we would see a surfing santa or a Christmas tree decorated in local flowers and we would be reminded of Christmas time. Here are few pictures of our vacation (I am not trying to leave Amos out of our pics, but he was always taking the pictures because he wanted to be using his new camera.)

This is us at the North Shore. Yes, I know my hair does crazy curly things in the humidity!

Our private paradise "Eternity Beach."

Surfing!

Proof that I am a surfer!

Surfing competition on the North Shore with 40 foot waves. The waves haven't been that big in 40 years. We were lucky to be there during this time.

First Day of School

Sadie on her first day of 2nd grade. How did that happen?
Paden on his first day of kindergarten.

See ya later mom!

Bear Lake

Amos was off to another scout camp so the kids and I decided to head to Bear Lake with Brandy and her kids for a fun filled day.

Swimming Lessons

Sadie and Paden took swimming lessons over the summer. They learned a lot and had a lot of fun with all their friends.
Paden is the only boy surrounded by very cute girls!

The Annual Cutting of the Wheat

This is the highlight of the year for the kids. They absolutely love to help drive the combine.
The kids loved looking out the window of the combine at the wheat being cut!
Riding in the semi to unload.

Unloading. Paden got to help pull all the levers and push all the buttons and he was in heaven.

Lion and Tigers and Bears and RAIN!

We went to the zoo with my cousins and we got rained on almost the entire day! Brrrrrrr!!
When we got to the zoo we realized Kellie didn't have a rain coat. We had to buy a poncho at the gift shop.

Sadie is 7!

Sadie had her last day of first grade just before her birthday! This picture is of her on her last day. Isn't she cute?!

She really did have a real cake for her birthday... not just a cookie.
Still can't believe she is seven!

The Place Formerly Known as the Delta Center

On my birthday I went with Sadie on a field trip to the SLC Library and the ESA. We got to go in the locker room and all the training rooms and back rooms of the ESA. It was so cool!
